Had company lunch today, part of my job’s initiative to get its remote team to meet in person once a month. There are several lunch gatherings throughout the city depending on where people live, and I was at the downtown one.
Leaving my apartment in the middle of the day is rare, and I got a full blast of summer heat as I walked to the subway to ride the train toward Pine & Crane’s downtown LA location. It was nice catching up with work folks, and Pine & Crane’s dan dan noodles with jidori chicken truly made my stomach happy.
Back at work, unexpected export issues kept me working late. I wasn’t too miffed about it since I couldn’t go to the gym tonight anyway—I need to rest up because of neck issues. I may just clean my bathroom and chill tonight to recharge for tomorrow’s activities: Monthly D&D and attending my first-ever minor league baseball game.
