Mexico City, Nov–Dec 2025

I had been longing to see Mexico for several reasons. Me being half-Mexican from my dad's side? Check. Me becoming a country music fan over the last couple years, exposed to all the romanticized songs about Mexico? Check. Me being a huge pro-wrestling fan, with the dream of always wanting to see lucha libre in its home country? Triple check.
I always like taking what PTO I have left near the end of the year, combining it with the Thanksgiving holiday, and making a trip out of it. This year, I did it with Mexico City, and what a city it was.
Between the delicious food, gorgeous greenery, and amazing people, Mexico City shot up immediately to my top 3 favorite cities I've ever been to. I met cool folks, used my weeks prior of Duolingo-fueled crash-course Spanish to the best of my ability, and saw 3 CMLL lucha libre shows, 2 of which had big names from AEW performing to my happy surprise.
Not only will I visit CDMX again, but if life allows, I would love to live there someday.
