Wednesday
Mid-week check-in, hello! What has been going on?
Sunday: Slept in very late from timezone-DnD the night before. Went to a stories meet-up where folks met at a bar called Tacos N Taps where the theme of the night was to talk about past travels. Met a few interesting folks: among them was a guy from China about to move to the U.S., an Australian guy living in Japan, a Taiwanese girl about to move to Spain for school, and a Taiwanese guy who has traveled everywhere and brought his pet ferret to the outing. A bar ferret!!
Monday: Standard work + gym. Ate at my favorite chicken-rice place for dinner.
Tuesday: Worked at a neighborhood cafe for the first half. Similar to the event on Sunday, they will be hosting their "Cup Conversation Club" on Thursday, again with the topic of travel. I guess summer vacation is on everyone's mind. I want to check it out though! That evening I watched Spider-Man: Brand New Day. I really liked it, probably my favorite Marvel movie since Civil War.
Wednesday: We had-team building painting in the afternoon, each of us painting a randomly picked teammate in a mini-canvas. Since I don't have a lot of drawing/painting skills, I went full abstract and had fun with it. I have some freelance work after work-work tonight, but if I can finish early, I will try to hit the gym.
For the rest of the week: Checking out that Cup Conversation Club on Thursday night, possibly checking out some open-mic comedy after if I'm not too tired. Then a wrestling show on Saturday with a buddy and me attempting to rewatch The Odyssey on Sunday.
