End-of-week check-in. Hello, folks!

Last weekend: Live pro-wrestling where my buddy, his friend, and I cheered for the heels (the bad guys in pro-wrestling speak). Epic time! Afterward, I found myself on an unexpected double-date at my favorite bar, SAKAbonbon, a great spot where my friends and I have become friends with the owners and usually end up drinking with them. The double-date happened when my other buddy's Bumble chat decided to join us at the bar last-minute and she brought her friend as well. She was cute and it was an interesting evening that ended in a beer blur.

Monday: Typical work day and gym after. It has become a lunch-time ritual at work with several of us in the office to watch Couples Therapy on the projector. Since I don't really watch modern TV outside of pro-wrestling, it is interesting seeing a reality-docu. There's some couples that we end up rooting for and some we root to just end.

Tuesday: Watched The Odyssey again. No luck with IMAX yet, but still a great experience. I still get chills that moment Odysseus strings his bow and strums it during THAT scene.

Wednesday: Work and gym.

Thursday: Worked remotely and did some work at my neighborhood coffee shop. Saw some folks from the Conversation Club there and had some nice chatting, and even got invited into their LINE group. I'M IN.

Later, I went to the theaters again! This time to watch Obsession, which finally came out here. Everything everybody has said about this movie is true. Like whoa. I LOVE horror films, mostly slashers that get so over-the-top, I end up finding comedy in them. This was not it. Well to be fair, there was one funny scene in it that brought levity to the film that I just remembered as I typed.

Honestly, Obsession was the first horror film in my adult life that has frightened me. I didn't think it was possible in my veteran stage of horror fandom, but damn it, it finally happened! There were scenes that made the entire sold-out theater jump, which was pretty wild. I don't think a horror film actually scared me since Fire in the Sky's famous alien abduction scene.

I also can't stop thinking about Obsession and Inde Navarrette's performance. I may watch this one a second time too.
