New Taiwan Wrestling!

My third wrestling blog post in a row—in the words of the great Ric Flair, "Woooooooo!" Is this becoming a personal wrestling blog?

On September 26th, my buddy Rey Rey and I went back to Taoyuan to see a New Taiwan Wrestling show. While we had mostly been hitting up Puzzle Pro-Wrestling shows recently, NTW was the first Taiwanese wrestling company I came across online last year and the first show in Taiwan I went to, so it was awesome to be back to see their roster in action.

It was obviously much less violent than Puzzle’s deathmatch show from just the week prior, with a normal level of wrestling good times this time around. An especially fun moment was from Miles Karu, visiting from Malaysia Pro Wrestling, singing Everybody by the Backstreet Boys as his entrance theme.

Highlights below!

On a side note, it’s been very fun editing these mini-highlights of wrestling shows. Yeah, they’re little edits without anything fancy, but it’s been soooooo long since I’ve edited any video for fun outside of work. It’s been nice to remember doing this for fun only.

Last time I did that was fan-editing The Hobbit trilogy into two films, editing out all the bloated action and storylines I disliked. And before that, there's my semi-abandoned old YouTube channel where I used to edit random ideas that came to mind, mostly made up of angsty Comet Gain music videos set against 1960s French New Wave movies.

Maybe fancy wrestling edits will be next.
